Batelco and Riffa Views Sign Significant Agreement

Batelco to Provide Fiber Network with Capability for Triple Play Solution for Riffa Views Homes

Batelco, the Kingdom’s leading integrated communications provider and Riffa Views, Bahrain’s premium golf residential development, have signed an agreement that will provide residents of Riffa Views with state-of-the-art communications services.

The agreement will see Batelco design, supply, install and commission a Fiber Network for advanced Triple Play solution based on GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks) technology. GPON not only provides substantially higher efficiency as a transport network, but also delivers simplicity and superb scalability for future expansion in supporting additional services. The state-of-the-art technology will provide telephony, internet, VPN (Virtual Private Network) and IPTV capability for all residents of Riffa Views.

The announcement demonstrates Batelco’s position as a provider of cutting edge services for the consumer and business sectors. Batelco has a proven track record in delivering integrated business communication solutions and one-stop-shop convenience.

The agreement was signed by Batelco CEO Bahrain Rashid Abdulla and Riffa Views Managing Director Yasser Abdulrahman Al Raee at a ceremony held on June 6th at the Royal Golf Club.

2011 RIFFA VIEWS FOOTBALL CUP

The 2011 Riffa Views Football Cup was held for the second consecutive year with an action-packed football match that brought together staff from Riffa Views and residents of the community. The friendly match was held at Riffa Views International School’s gymnasium, where the community enjoyed an epic evening of football.

Riffa Views achieves milestone of 450 villas handed over

Riffa Views, Bahrain’s premium golf residential development, today reached a new development milestone with the handover of its 450th villa to homeowner Abdulla Adel Fakhro.

To date, over 600 luxury villas have been completed and handed over to Riffa Views from the contractors, representing 57 percent of the total number of villas within the community.

Commenting on the handover of his new home, Mr. Fakhro said, “I am very excited to be joining the community. The development offers a variety of lifestyle elements which are not often found in Bahrain. It caters for the whole family, from adults to children, with facilities such as the Royal Golf Club, the Country Club and a world-class international school and outdoor spaces where children can run and play. The quality and finishes in the villa have also exceeded my expectations and I’m very happy to receive the keys to my new home.”

Speaking on the achievement of the project’s latest milestone, Yasser Abdulrahman Al-Raee, Managing Director of Riffa Views, said,” I am pleased to welcome our 450th homeowner to the community. Work within Riffa Views continues to progress, with the construction of the remaining Lagoons villas underway and the recent completion of our first community garden – Oasis Garden.”

Mr. Al-Raee’s comments are supported by a recent report by global real estate services company CB Richard Ellis, which highlights Riffa Views as a much sought after development.
