Bahrain Road Runners Organize Successful Race at Riffa Views

The Bahrain Road Runners (BRR) successfully organized a 5km race as part of the 3-race series to be held this month under the ‘Riffa Views Grand Prix Series’. The race was hosted at Riffa Views, Bahrain’s premium golf residential development, and saw the attendance of 115 participants in the range of 13 to over 65 years of age.
Race winner Abellatif Aithsine ran across the finish line with a time of 15 minutes 20 seconds, just milliseconds ahead of his compatriot Youssif Nasser. There was an intense fight for the 3rd place between Eddhabi Nassir and Maali Taawer, with Maali inching a second ahead of Nassir in the last 100 meters with a finish time of 16 minutes 4 seconds. The remaining participants came on strong with fast times recorded by all.
The 5km race is the first of 3 races organized by the BRR, under the sponsorship of Riffa Views. Next Friday, 18th of November, the 10km race will start at 7:30am, with the 15 km race to be held on Friday 25th of November at 7:00am.
Registration for the 10km and 15km races is now open at the BRR’s website (www.bahrainroadrunners.com) and will close on the Wednesdays previous to each race at 6.00 pm. Registrations will not be allowed on the day of the race.

Riffa Views residents celebrate the success of ‘Bahrain 11′

To commemorate the successful organization and culmination of the First GCC Games, “Bahrain 11”, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Riffa Views hosted a Mini-Olympics for the residents of the community. The event featured different sporting disciplines and aimed at promoting and encouraging an active and healthy lifestyle for the kids.
The event’s highlight was the attendance of the official Bahrain 11 mascot “Ghaleb”, which embody the unifying spirit that binds GCC nations together and the collaborative effort behind the GCC Games.

أحياءا للتنظيم الناجح وتتويجا للألعاب دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي الأولى ، “البحرين 11″، الذي عقد في مملكة البحرين ، أقامت الرفاع فيوز اولمبياد مصغرة للمقيمين في المشروع. و قد شمل هذا الحدث مختلف الألعاب الرياضية، و التي تهدف إلى تعزيز وتشجيع أسلوب حياة نشطة وصحية للأطفال.
و تم تسليط الضوء على هذه الفعالية في حضور غالب وهو تميمة الحدث الذي يجسد روح الوحدة التي تربط دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي معا من خلال الجهد المشترك في نجاح جميع للألعاب الرياضية في مجلس التعاون الخليجي.

The 2011 Riffa Views Football Cup was held for the second consecutive year with an action-packed football match that brought together staff from Riffa Views and residents of the community. The friendly match was held at Riffa Views International School’s gymnasium, where the community enjoyed an epic evening of football.
