Riffa Views TV – Episode 16: Riffa Views Invitational Weekend

Celebrating the inauguration of “The Montgomerie“, Riffa Views organised an event, sports and fun packed weekend in the Riffa Views Invitational where US$250,000 were won for various charities around the world, and brought Bahrain golf enthusiasts closer to their sporting idols.

Present were Colin Montgomerie, the course designer of course and was accompanied by world class golfers Retief Goosen, Camillo Villegas and Michael Campbell.

Other sporting greats like the Indian cricket legend Kapil Dev, tennis great Boris Becker and five times Olympic medallist Sir Steve Redgrave also joined in the various events. All of these sporting legends not only brought Riffa Views to life during the weekend, but inspired countless people around them to excel.

Boris Becker works up a swing

Swapping his tennis racquet for a golf club, Riffa Views’ International Ambassador, Boris Becker, shows he is not just a great tennis player as he flexes his muscles in preparation for the AMH Island Classic Golf Charity Tournament of which Riffa Views is the Diamond Sponsor.

Boris will be playing along with Richard Browning, CEO of Riffa Views, and Hugh O’Shea, Sales and Marketing Director, on the Riffa Views’ team during the tournament. The Golf Tournament is being held from November 15 to 17 under the patronage of His Majesty the King, at his private golf course.

Riffa Views International Ambassador unveils new store as part of his three-day visit to Bahrain

Boris Becker served an Ace to officially open the new Riffa Views Golf & Leisure Shop located in the Country Mall on the Budaiya Highway today.

Boris also launched the Riffa Views’ Golf Simulator by driving his ball down a virtual fairway before browsing through the store whose, contemporary design is in tandem with the luxury lifestyle of Riffa Views Signature Estates. The new retail outlet shows off to perfection, a diverse mix of golf and leisure equipment which includes the quality Riffa Views’ signature golf clothing range and the Boris Becker range of tennis racquets, tennis holdalls and racquet bags.

Riffa Views CEO, Richard Browning, said: “We are excited to celebrate the opening of the shop and Boris being here has added another dimension to the event, just as he is adding to the momentum of tennis in Bahrain as part of his role as the Riffa Views’ International Ambassador.”

Becker added: “I’m excited to be back in Bahrain and see the remarkable progress Riffa Views has made. The opening of the shop highlights yet another milestone being achieved. The focus of my visit will be overseeing how the plans of Riffa Views’ Tennis Facility are progressing and helping to raise the profile of tennis in the Kingdom. I am also looking forward to seeing some fantastic tennis during the final of the ‘Riffa Views Tennis Cup’.”

A highlight of Becker’s visit will be an autograph signing session followed by his attendance at the Final of the “Riffa Views Cup” to be held at the Bahrain Tennis Club on Friday November 16.
