Royal Country Club Opening Success
30 May 2011
A week-long festival of fitness activities got underway on Saturday marking the Grand Opening of the eagerly awaited Royal Country Club at Riffa Views.
A group of ladies took part in the club’s first “Zumba” class, a work-out combining Latin dance, exercise moves and music, while both children and adults had the opportunity to try their hand at taekwondo.
Complimentary activities for the rest of the week include basketball demonstrations, boot camps, aqua aerobics and yoga as well as tennis skills workshops and swimming classes for kids.
Facilities for members at the Royal Country Club include separate ladies and gents’ gyms equipped with the latest cardio and resistance range, a purpose-built fitness studio, aromatic steam rooms, pine-wood saunas and fully equipped locker rooms.
Outside, members can relax and unwind next to the chilled pool and enjoy the poolside snack menu. Also available for hire by members is an award-winning multi-purpose court for tennis, basketball or football while younger members can enjoy landscaped gardens, a play park and an air-conditioned junior club offering arts and crafts activities at weekends.
Non members are welcome to attend regular group fitness classes at the Royal Country Club. The schedule for June includes Swiss Ball, aqua aerobics, Bosu and Zumba for ladies and taekwondo for both ladies and gents. Prices start from just BD 4 per session for visitors.
