Riffa Views Welcomes its 150th Resident

Today, Riffa Views recorded another important project milestone as it handed over keys to its 150th resident, Mr. Suhail Ghazi Algosaibi.

After the considerable challenges experienced during the last 18 months, progress at Riffa Views is gathering pace, and the two main contractors have committed to a framework of planned deliveries over the course of 2010. Yasser Al-Raee, Managing Director of Riffa Views commented: “With a clearly defined programme of construction and villa delivery, we are pleased to see the positive momentum translating into a very active villa handover schedule. The drive to ensure satisfactory handover to residents as quickly as possible remains our principal focus.”

Resident Mr. Algosaibi commented: “I am very excited to take possession of my house and to be part of this community. The handover service provided by the management and staff of Riffa Views has been good. Despite the delays, I have been satisfied at the way that Riffa Views have tackled a difficult set of challenges. Now that I have the keys, I am absolutely delighted at the decision I made to buy at Riffa Views. The house is really impressive, and I am very pleased with the interior and exterior finishes.”

The dedicated villa delivery team is currently handing over an average of 10 villas a week. The number of villas delivered will progressively increase throughout the following months, and the target is projecting delivery of over 30 per cent of the sold villas to homeowners by the end of the first quarter of 2010.

Contractors are fully committed to the over-riding goal of villa delivery, working concurrently within the development to speed up the process of delivery to every extent possible. To date, 20 per cent of the villas within the development have been completed and handed over from the contractors to Riffa Views, 95 per cent of the infrastructure is now complete, and landscaping works are steadily progressing in areas where homeowners are living.

تشهد الرفاع ڤيوز تقدما محرزا و ذلك بعد أن شهد المشروع تحديات كبيرة خلال الثمانية عشر شهرا الماضية ، حيث يقوم المقاولين الرئيسيين بعمل خطة أساسية في عملية تسليم المنازل على مدار عام 2010. و علق السيد ياسر الراعي المدير التنفيذي للرفاع ڤيوز قائلا : ” نحن مسرورون بالتقدم الايجابي في تسليم الفلل مع وجود برنامج محدد للبناء والتسليم من خلال جدول زمني محدد. و ما يزال تركيزنا الرئيسي من خلال القيام بحملة مشددة لضمان تسليم الفلل بطريقة مرضية لملاك المنازل في أسرع وقت ممكن. ”

و قال السيد سهيل القصيبي بهذه المنسبة : “أنا متحمس جدا لاستلام منزلي و لكوني جزءا من هذا المجتمع. و قد حصلنا على معاملة ممتازة من خلال الإدارة و الموظفين في الرفاع ڤيوز. وعلى الرغم من التأخير فقد كنت راضيا في طريقة تعامل الرفاع ڤيوز مع مجموعة التحديات الصعبة. و بعد استلام مفاتيح المنزل فاني اعترف باني سعيد جدا من خلال القرار الذي اتخذته في شراء منزل هنا في الرفاع ڤيوز. لقد أثار المنزل إعجابي، وأنا سعيد جدا بالنتائج خصوصا في الشكل النهائي و نوعية التشطيبات الداخلية و الخارجية. ”

و يكرس فريق تسليم المنازل حاليا بمعدل ما يزيد عن 10 منازل في الأسبوع. و سوف يزداد عدد المنازل التي من المقرر أن يتم تسليمها تدريجيا خلال الأشهر التالية، والهدف هو تسليم نسبة تزيد عن ثلاثين في المائة من المنازل المباعة لملاك المنازل بحلول نهاية الربع الأول من عام 2010.

المقاولين ملتزمين التزاما كليا من خلال الهدف الأساسي المتمثل في تسليم المنازل، و يتم العمل في الوقت نفسه في إطار زيادة و تسريع عمليات التسليم لأقصى حد ممكن. و حتى الآن تم إكمال و تسليم عشرين في المائة من الفلل من المشروع من قبل المقاولين في الرفاع ڤيوز ، و تم إكمال خمسة و تسعون في المائة من البنية التحتية حتى الآن ، و يتم يعمل على المناظر الطبيعية و الجمالية بشكل مضطرد ابتداء من المناطق التي تم السكن فيها.

CELEBRATES CULTURAL DIVERSITY

Riffa Views International School celebrated cultural diversity along with its students, faculty, staff, and parents, at the school’s first International Day. The event presented a perfect setting for students to have the opportunity to learn about other countries’ culture, traditions, handicrafts, food, and games.

The students also participated in a costume parade along with a presentation showing every country represented by the students, faculty and parents, featuring their country’s flag and national dress to start off the event. Then everyone was treated to a musical concert in the school’s cafetorium as the grand finale for the day.

RVIS Director, Bruce McWilliams commented: “We live in an increasingly culturally diverse society and for this reason it is important to help children understand cultural differences and recognize similarities. Cultural diversity is an important part of the learning experience of RVIS students.”

RVIS currently has 187 students enrolled from 24 different nationalities. Some of the countries represented at International Day were, Bahrain, United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, India, Korea, Pakistan, Lebanon, amongst many more.

At the International Day, students, faculty, staff and parents were also encouraged to offer donations in support of the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Mr. McWilliams commented: “RVIS decided to be a part of the solution and assist with relief efforts through donations that will reach Haiti via the United Nations World Food Program.”
