Riffa Views commissions Bahrain Artist Ali Mohammed Al Mahmeed to sculpt a 3-meter tall icon

Riffa Views has commissioned Bahrain artist Ali Mohammed Al Mahmeed to sculpt a 3-meter high icon which will depict the three natural materials used in their landmark development. To celebrate this iconic feature, Riffa Views’ has produced a limited edition in miniature which will be presented to special partners in sharing the success of the project and the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain
Born in the Kingdom in 1945, the sculptor is one of the foremost names on the Bahrain art scene. A founding member of the Bahrain Art Society, of which he subsequently became president, Ali has been actively involved in encouraging the development of the visual arts in Bahrain in all forms. He has exhibited his art widely within the Kingdom and abroad, representing Bahrain at numerous events around the world. Some of his sculptures and paintings are displayed in the Bahrain National Museum and in private collections in Bahrain, Kuwait, London, Beirut, Dubai and Finland.

This iconic sculpture will use the natural materials of wood, stone and metal which represent the development’s identity. The final piece of art will be positioned in the entrance of the new club house which will be ready in August 2008.
