Riffa Views has commissioned Bahrain artist Ali Mohammed Al Mahmeed to sculpt a 3-meter high icon which will depict the three natural materials used in their landmark development. To celebrate this iconic feature, Riffa Views’ has produced a limited edition in miniature which will be presented to special partners in sharing the success of the project and the development of the Kingdom of Bahrain
Born in the Kingdom in 1945, the sculptor is one of the foremost names on the Bahrain art scene. A founding member of the Bahrain Art Society, of which he subsequently became president, Ali has been actively involved in encouraging the development of the visual arts in Bahrain in all forms. He has exhibited his art widely within the Kingdom and abroad, representing Bahrain at numerous events around the world. Some of his sculptures and paintings are displayed in the Bahrain National Museum and in private collections in Bahrain, Kuwait, London, Beirut, Dubai and Finland.

This iconic sculpture will use the natural materials of wood, stone and metal which represent the development’s identity. The final piece of art will be positioned in the entrance of the new club house which will be ready in August 2008.

Richard Browning, CEO of Riffa Views, said, “Ali has created a piece of art which captures the essence of our project. His use of natural materials reflects the cornerstones of our development,, our seamless integration with nature and our support to Bahrain’s community.”

“Ali is a visionary sculptor who takes his inspiration from the world around him, using a wide range of materials which he combines effortlessly into an elegant art form. We are proud to have a piece of art made by a local artist, and we are doubly proud to share his work our special partners” he ended.

Riffa Views announce sales success in lead up to Bahrain International Property Exhibition (BIPEX)

November 27, 2007

Riffa Views Platinum Sponsorship of BIPEX to further attract investors to the Kingdom and enhance Bahrain’s position as an international real estate and tourism hub.

Riffa Views today announced its participation at the Bahrain International Property Exhibition will play a key role in further boosting sales which have been successful with more than 60 percent of the project sold out. During the high-profile property show, which begins today, Riffa Views will showcase for the first time all three Signature Estates – The Lagoons, The Oasis and The Park.

Riffa Views’ participation in BIPEX this year will provide a first-hand opportunity for the increasing number of potential buyers from Bahrain, the wider GCC and the rest of the world to view the prestigious development, which is firmly earmarked as one of the region’s top property choices for those considering a home in Bahrain. The development has seen record sales over the last few months positioning the project in the global arena.

Hugh O’Shea, Sales and Marketing Director, said: “We have a prestigious stand at this year’s BIPEX where our Signature Estates have been truly brought to life. BIPEX provides an opportunity for visitors to experience the Riffa View’s luxurious lifestyle. Since its launch, the project has seen 68 percent of the residences in the Oasis Estate, 75 percent in the Lagoons Estate and, since its release last month, 35 percent in the Park Estate sold out. We believe BIPEX is an ideal platform to increase these numbers.”

“Riffa Views offers a timely and real value investment opportunity. Some of the early investors have already seen over 25 percent returns on their investment in various segments of the project and there are expectations of a 100 percent return in investment by the completion of the project in mid 2009. There are few remaining options and this is the right time to make a wise decision,” added Mr. O’Shea.

The 1000-villa project is a master planned-development geared toward a luxurious lifestyle. Recent customer demand has resulted in all the 2-bedroom townhouses, 3-bedroom and custom-made villas being completely sold out. In the Oasis Estate all the 3-bedroom townhouses along with the 5-bedroom Signature villas are sold out while, the Lagoons Estate has only three 5-bedroom 750 square meter villas remaining.

Sales were further boosted recently by the successful release of The Park Estate, to the general public through an open house event that attracted over 3,000 visitors from Bahrain and the Middle East, resulting in an unprecedented record in the Kingdom of 100 sales being made during the three-day event.

During the three-day BIPEX, members of the Riffa Views team will be on hand to inform visitors on all details from interior themes to return on investment of the townhouses and villas available within the Signature Estates. Information on the unbeatable range of facilities will also be available – these comprise a comprehensive range of amenities including an 18-hole PGA championship Colin Montgomerie golf course, a 9-hole executive golf course, a golf academy, a country club, a tennis facility in association with Boris Becker, a shopping mall, a luxury hotel and an international school, all surrounded by pleasant walkways and spacious parklands.

Charity Golf Tournament in Aid of BMI

November 27, 2007

Riffa Views has confirmed their title sponsorship of the “Riffa Views Shaikh Faisal Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Memorial Trophy”, which will take place at His Majesty King Hamad’s golf course in Safriya on 14th, 15th and 16th February 2008.

The better ball golf tournament, in memory of Shaikh Faisal who tragically died in a car accident in January last year, is a charitable event with all proceeds being donated to Bahrain Mobility International (BMI), a charity strongly supported by Shaikh Faisal during his lifetime.

“We are very honoured to be involved once again in such a worthwhile event,” said Richard Browning, CEO of Riffa Views. “Last year’s tournament raised over BD 40,000 in total and we look forward to bettering that in February.”

Bahrain Mobility International was established in 1979 and caters to the needs of the disabled in Bahrain. Their centre in Isa Town is run entirely on donations and offers training workshops and physical therapy facilities to its members. There is also a nursery attached to the centre which caters to children aged 3 to 6 years and prepares them to integrate into the community once they start school.

“We are hoping to build a recreational facility at our centre with this year’s proceeds,” explained Dreena Rogers, BMI’s liaison officer. “We would also like to be able to purchase further mobility equipment for our members and possibly even employ a full-time physiotherapist, something we have not been able to afford in the past.”

“The management and staff of Riffa Views will be running the tournament at His Majesty’s course and we are expecting a total of around 250 golfers to participate,” said Phil Jones, the Riffa Views director of golf. “Corporate sponsor pairings will play on days one and two with Riffa Views inviting their guests to compete on day 3. Teams of four golfers will play in two better ball pairings.”

Sponsorship opportunities are now available for the tournament which has already become one of the most prestigious charity events on Bahrain’s annual golfing calendar. Companies who may wish to find out more or who are interested in entering a team are invited to call Dreena Rogers on mobile 3961 5356 or Anita Ghavami, Riffa Views golf sales & PR manager on mobile 3653 1310 for more details.
